Truro Community Hub, Cornwall

The Truro Community Hub is an exciting new facility in the heart of the city, next to the Cathedral. The design provides a high quality new church and community hub with highly glazed, curved Café, welcoming entrance foyer and reception on a level with the existing listed Chapel. The existing listed Schoolrooms are to be retained and remodelled internally to provide enhanced community facilities and a new extension is proposed to the north to extend community provision with a Food Bank, Street Pastors and new toilet facilities, with a wellbeing centre offering health services in the community, offices, flexible halls and meeting rooms. The architectural design employs natural stone and glazing to complement the heritage setting.
