Haywards Heath Methodist Church
The land to the south of the church building had been sold many years earlier for residential accommodation and this had restricted the church’s development. The majority of those using the church were therefore restricted to gaining access through the side of the church which meant that the front entrance doors were only ever used on Sundays when the nearby offices were not in use. The impression wrongly given was that the church was not in use. The new development incorporated a new foyer through which all visitors to the church had to pass and included access to the rear of the site and ways to overcome major differences in levels as a result. It also included a new community room and new wc facilities with disabled access to all parts of the building.
