Emmanuel Baptist Church, Swanage

Emmanuel Baptist Church is a new church located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, close to the Purbeck Hills on the historic Jurassic coast. CPL worked closely with the local planning authority to gain planning approval for the new church on this strategic site. The LPA required a Landmark design, as this is the first building to be seen on entering Swanage from Corfe.
The design employs local natural rubble stonework with fine ashlar dressings and natural slate roofs, with contrasting elements of red brick and glazed curtain walling.
