Broadway United Church, Eastbourne

The Broadway Church was formed by the joining together of St Luke's United Reformed Church and St Stephen's Methodist Church on the Methodist site in Eastbourne. The project included the construction of a new first floor, over the existing vestry, meeting room and kitchen, to provide accommodation, without extending the building footprint. The new facilities include additional teaching and meeting rooms, for both church and community use. A new entrance ramp provides access to a new foyer with glazed oak screens and the worship space, which has been re-ordered, with enhanced AV system, lighting, flexible seating, floor finishes and colourful textile artwork. A new mezzanine space over the entrance foyer provides an additional meeting room and overflow space, with views into the sanctuary through glazed oak screens.
