Paynters Lane End Methodist Church, Illogan, Cornwall

When Cambourne, Redruth and Hayle Methodist Circuit decided to close the chapel, CPL used their experience of residential and church design to gain detailed planning approval for a historically sensitive residential conversion of this important landmark chapel.  Maisonettes featuring double height spaces retain decorative and ornate vaulted ceilings and other historical features of the existing building.  The project safeguards the architectural qualities of the chapel for the enjoyment of future generations, and grants the building new life through adaptation and sustainable re-use.
