New Testament Church of God, Edmonton
CPL obtained detailed planning approval in a complex urban setting for a new church building on the site of a former social club, near Edmonton railway station. This brand new church building is carefully designed to meet the vision and missional needs of the church. Featuring a state of the art new auditorium with clerestory glazing and a modern spire, the main worship space references historical places of worship, whilst meeting the requirements of contemporary worship. An ancillary element of the new building provides a flexible hall which is available for community and church use, providing a commercial kitchen and modern facilities. An upper floor incorporates meeting rooms, offices and a 2 bedroom flat, providing the church with on-site accommodation for staff or visitors.
Designed to achieve BREEAM 'Very Good', this sustainable and flexible new building provides a valuable community hub, enabling the church to expand and serve the needs of a diverse local community. A feature standing seam metal roof and contemporary brickwork facades with curtain walling provide an exciting and modern appearance for this active church family.
